Exceptional Dome Magnifier

This dome magnifier is powerful, magnifying 4X. In addition, it brightens up the text beneath naturally. No batteries. No bulbs. That is because all the light that passes through it is refracted in such a way that the text beneath seems to light up with the natural light of the room. The price is $59.95 to $75, depending on the size you want. Yes, there are cheaper dome magnifiers on the market. But this high quality dome is exceptional in design and durability.

Maggie MD Portable electronic magnifier

The Maggie MD Portable Electronic Magnifier is a portable unit that easily fits in your pocket or purse and can magnify up to 11X. It may be helpful in macular degeration because it also has a button which inverts the colors, so an ordinary book will appear with white text on a black background.

One very appealing aspect of electronic magnifiers is the magnification/size aspect. With hand held magnifiers, (by the laws of physics) the stronger the magnification, the smaller the lens must be. It is very difficult & expensive to find a 10 X magnifier that' s larger than 1.5" diameter. Electronic magnifiers, however, don't have this limitation. The Maggie MD offers up to 11X without compromising the ample size of the screen.

Low Vision Readers: Powerful AND gorgeous!

Low Vision glasses of yesterday almost always appeared goofy, clunky and unattractive. We always carried the trendiest high power readers we could find, but the pickins' were slim. This year, however, marks the beginning of a positive trend. More and more high style readers are being made in diopters of +4, +450, +500 and +6, which is very exciting for many of our customers. These vintage inspired frames are particularly popular, in both the dark tortoise and warm amber tone.

Why should anyone have to look awkward in eye wear when such cutting edge, attractive low vision reading glass styles are all the rage?

Focusable Low Vision

Ok, so it does look a little like you're wearing binoculars as glasses. But the attractive thing about the focusable low vision glasses is this: Not only are they POWERFUL, but they have a COMFORTABLE READING DISTANCE. Most low vision aids that are this strong require you to bring your book very, very close to your face. But with these focusable low vision glasses, you can keep your book at a very comfortable distance of 15 to 17". (The distance itself can make it easier to read)
